“To Be Candy” Short Film on Alexa.

Last week I shot my first film on the Arri Alexa up in Clifton Park, NY. After flying it on my steadicam for a few shows over the last year, it was nice to get a chance to shoot Alexa for my own project. Thanks to all the crew for kicking ass and pulling through some tough night exteriors. Here’s some frame-grabs:

Camera/Steadicam Operator on “Source” Short film on the Redone.

Just wrapped the short film “Source” as the “A” Camera/Steadicam Operator. It was a quick 5 days of production, but 1st AC Teresa Rhinehart and I had our work cut out, as Dave had us shooting wide open at T1.8 for the entire shoot.
It was my first time flying the red with the pro primes, found them to be a pretty nice lens. To get weight down for my lightweight rig, I had to strip down the normal camera build to just the red body with red pro primes, element technica b.o.b., aja down-converter, bartech receiver w/ m-one lens motor, and additional lighweight v-mount battery with p-tap out to power the bartech.
